ISHPEMING — After nearing the three dollar mark earlier this month, gas prices are continuing to make their way back down.

According to GasBuddy.com, the average price in Michigan has been around $2.60, with the lowest prices in the state dipping below $2.00 right here in the Upper Peninsula. Locations in L’Anse and Baraga were reportedly selling gas at $1.98 over the past day, but that’s definitely not the lowest of the low.

According to ABC affiliate WYTV, one station was selling gas at 99 cents a gallon in Youngstown, Ohio Thursday. That was only a promotion, though. Gas went up to $1.97 in the afternoon, but not until after massive lines formed around the station with some customers waiting up to three hours to get gas.
