Garage Destroyed by Fire
Fire destroyed a Delta County garage Saturday. At 11:20am officers were called to a garage fire at 4834 16.5 Lane in Escanaba. The garage, which was attached to the residence, was found to be fully engulfed.
Officers from Escanaba Public Safety, along with assistance from Escanaba Township Volunteer Fire Department, were able to extinguish the fire. The blaze was confined to the garage area.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated. Fire fighters were assisted by Delta County Sheriff Department deputy’s and Rampart EMS.
