Fugitive arrested in U.P. returns to Wisconsin

MERRILL, Wisc. — A fugitive from Wisconsin who was arrested in the U.P. last week is back in his home state.

Twenty-seven-year old Kyle Murray of Merrill, Wisconsin, appeared in Lincoln County Circuit Court Thursday to plead not guilty to a retail theft charge. Murray was located in Iron Mountain last week after a surveillance operation was conducted by the KIND Drug Enforcement Team. He was then taken into custody by Iron Mountain Police on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections Parole Detainer.

Murray is scheduled for a pretrial conference on February 18th.
