MARQUETTE– UPAWS came to CENTURY 21 in Marquette from noon until four P.M. with some animals looking for a loving family in a permanent home.

Eagle Mine and CENTURY 21 covered all adoption fees for anyone who found that special pet to take home. Besides cats and dogs, smaller animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs were also available for adoption.

Meagen Morrison, Eagle Mine Social Responsibility Advisor said “There’s always animals at UPAWS that are in need of homes and by hosting events like this we’re able to connect up animals with somebody that needs a companion.”

If you didn’t find an animal at CENTURY 21 that was right for you, you could also receive a coupon for a free adoption from the shelter, PetSmart or in foster care. Lunch was also served to those who stopped by.
