Free Kids Sled Dog Rides
The CopperDog 150 is presenting Free Kids Sled Dog Rides at Agassiz Park this Saturday from 1pm-3pm.
Race Director Todd Brassard says they will set up a track for the dog teams to follow and the kids are going to be able to ride on a real dog-pulled sled.
You’ll want to get the family out early because from 11 till 1, Brassard says there will be a meet and greet with the mushers and the dogs.
The Free Kid’s Sled Dog Rides Event falls on one of the town’s Christmas in Calumet weekends so there will be the additional flare of a hometown Christmas to the day’s atmosphere. And, Brassard says this week’s extra dousing a snow is perfect for an event like this.
The day’s activities include free hot dogs and refreshments plus you can get a photo keepsake and official Copper Dog merchandise.
