Four arrested on meth charges in Munising

Four suspects are in Alger County Jail pending arraignment. They were arrested on meth charges Friday night in Munising.

Troopers from the Munising Detachment of the Negaunee Post served a search warrant at 721 W. Superior Street alongside detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team around 9:30 p.m. A search of the home led to the discovery of an active meth lab.

UPSET detectives, who are certified meth responders, seized the components which are considered to be hazardous materials and transported them to a secured holding facility.

Troopers arrested three adult males and one adult female at the residence. All four were lodged in the Alger County Jail pending arraignment in the 93rd District Court of Munising on charges relating the manufacture and possession of meth. Their names are being withheld until all parties have arraigned.

Troopers and UPSET detectives worked in conjunction with deputies from the Alger County Sheriff Department and officers from the Munising City Police Department. Police were assisted at the scene by the Munising Fire Department.
