Four Chippewa County residents were arraigned on multiple felony drug charges stemming from a meth lab found at a duplex in Sault Ste. Marie.

Kevin Farnquist, 36, Sean Kirkland, 44, Fawn Teeple, 32, and Jay Tanner, 45, are facing a number of drug–related felonies, including conspiracy controlled substance operating and maintaining a meth lab, operating and maintaining a meth lab and maintaining a drug house.

Kirkland and Teeple have additional drug charges from separate cases.

The co–defendants are ordered to not have contact with each other, and the only way they will be released on bond is if they test clean for drugs.

They were arrested after the Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant in Soo Township on January 9, which developed into a second search warrant for a duplex on Andary Street in Sault Ste. Marie on January 11.

S.A.N.E. Detectives discovered what they say was an active meth lab in the home and seized syringes, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia.

The four defendants are being held in the Chippewa County Jail on bonds that range from $100, 000 to a half a million dollars.

Preliminary exams are scheduled for January 27 in district court.
