SAULT STE. MARIE — A Chippewa County man convicted of soliciting the help of a prisoner to harm another prisoner is headed to prison.
Twenty seven year-old Michael Young of Kincheloe will spend the next two to five years behind bars. He was sentenced in Chippewa County Circuit Court Thursday morning.
Police arrested him last May after an investigation by the Attorney General’s Office. Young was an Aramark employee at the Kinross Correctional Facility, when an inmate reported to authorities that he was hired by Young to help assault another inmate.
A jury found Young guilty in December of solicitation to commit assault with intent to cause great bodily harm, less than murder.
