Former postal carrier indicted for mail destruction

MANISTIQUE — Manistique residents are being made aware of an alleged crime that may have affected their mail delivery.

U.S. Attorney Patrick Miles announced today that former postal carrier Sarah Jane Paradise was indicted on charges of delaying, detaining, and destroying U.S. Mail that she was entrusted to deliver in Manistique between March of 2013 and March of 2014.

Paradise allegedly committed the crime with bulk business mail on a route that covered hundreds of Manistique residences. Those who believe they may be a victim of this crime can click here to obtain court notices relating to this case.
