Former NMU football player back in court

Prince Young will serve 30 days in jail at a time to be determined, after his delay of sentence was revoked by Judge Roger Kangas in Marquette District Court today.

Young is still on probation, after failing to pay restitution and fees by July 27 of last year.

Last April, Young pleaded guilty to assault and battery, after an incident involving Young occurred at the Vera Bar in downtown Marquette in January of last year.

Judge Kangas ordered Young today to complete a court ordered program by April 19, or he will serve additional time in jail.

Young is no longer with the NMU football team, after he finished his fourth and final year of eligibility this past season.
