Food festival celebrates variety of cuisine and holiday entertainment

MARQUETTE — Live entertainment, delicious food, and a great view, the international food festival has it all.

In the Lower Harbor of Marquette at Mattson Park, that’s where you’ll find various food, drink, and activity tents set up. This is the 31st year that the Marquette County Exchange Club has put on the International Food Festival.

With a variety of food, from German to Asian and Italian to Cajun, there’s a flavor for everyone. verity

The festival also gives local businesses the chance to interact with people in the community and show off their delicious food.

“We love being down here, the whole city of Marquette comes down here.” Said by Outlanders Manager Nichole Klingler, “it is just a huge community event. We love seeing everything that’s going on, we love being apart of the fundraiser for the exchange club and just love the human interaction.”

The inflatable bounce houses offer children the chance to have fun while parents can enjoy the free live music.
The festival continues throughout the rest of this evening and fireworks will begin in the Lower Harbor at dusk.
Anyone from the area along with tourists are welcome to stop by.
