Food drive looking for donations

The fourth annual food drive known as ‘Project Feed a Neighbor’ is looking to reach out to the community to help restock food pantries at the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul stores in Ishpeming, Negaunee, and Republic.

Many residents received a plastic bag at their front door last Saturday.

They are asked to fill the bags with non-perishable food, paper or hygiene products and leave the filled bags curbside.  The bags will be collected on Saturday.

People who did not receive a bag and still wish to donate can drop off items at the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul stores.

The project is sponsored by the Wesley United Methodist Church of Ishpeming and Mitchell United Methodist Church of Negaunee, where donations for the project can be dropped off as well.
