Flu Shots for Veterans
Cold and flu season go hand in hand with the holiday season.
For military veterans, there’s a easy flu shot option.
The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, and the many VA clinics across the U.P., offer vets a chance to get a flu shot at no cost.
Brad Nelson from the Oscar Johnson VA Medical Center says this is only for veterans already registered with the VA.
Nelson says flu shots are an important measure to take in staying healthy over the winter, especially for older residents or those as risk for contracting the flu.
