Five wolves killed in U.P. wolf hunt

The Department of Natural Resources says five wolves have been killed as part of the U.P. Wolf Hunt as noted below for each wolf management unit (WMU):

Current Harvest: 1

A total of 43 are targeted during the U.P. Wolf Hunt.

Hunters must report wolves killed over the phone or in person the day the wolf is killed. Only 43 wolves can be harvested during the hunting season in three areas of the U.P. The season will continue through December 31, or until the harvest totals have been reached.

The DNR’s wolf harvest website has updates on the number of wolves harvested. The DNR will update the site at 6 a.m. every day of the hunt.
