Most areas in the U.P. are now under a low-fire-danger warning, but the DNR says that is subject to change.

A steady drizzle across parts of the U.P. this morning has reduced the intensity of the dry conditions.

Only Luce County is under a total burn ban, meaning that open debris burning is not permitted anywhere.

Houghton, Mackinac and Chippewa Counties have burn permit restrictions in effect.

And in the rest of the U.P., open burning is now permitted and debris fires are allowed if proper precautions are taken.
