Hancock, MI – Finlandia University men’s hockey coach Dane Litke has announced that Taylor Cox and Walker Ensted have committed to continue their education and hockey careers at Finlandia University starting in the fall.

Cox, a 5’11” forward from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a very versatile player who can play all three forward positions.
“He has a good skill set and will be a very nice addition to the Finlandia roster,” said Coach Litke. “Taylor has good hockey sense and will bring a great work ethic to the Lions.”

Ensted, a 6’3” goalie from Omaha, Nebraska, comes to Finlandia from the Marquette Royales of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League. He helped the Royales to the MNJHL Championship last season.

“Walker is a tall goalie that covers a lot of net,” said Litke. “He has good lateral movement and will be looked upon to push for playing time this year.”
