Father Marquette Education Auction gets an A+

It’s an auction for education but this event is shaping up to be the event to attend tomorrow night. The Father Marquette Harvest for Education Auction is just a day away.

Volunteers busied themselves today with preparations for this upscale education auction. Champagne and diamonds will be a girls best friend at this event, along with flat screen TVs, guitars and many other great items.

Volunteer Melissa Curran was on hand today setting up. “We’ve got a diamond give–away, Jandrin’s fine jewelry has donated a 3/4 diamond for us,” she said. “There is a pool party that I would bid on. They’ve got the party for 25 people plus drinks and a massage pools side which is exciting.”

Principal Michael Hedges added, “I’m looking to see how much the Packers tickets are going to go for, the flat screen TV, I know there is a cabin on the lake weekend up for bid.”

The event will feature an Italian dinner, live band, open bar as well as a live auctioneer. But, the highlight of the evening will be some very special hand made items.

“I think what I was most impressed by was the hard work the students put into their items. I am looking forward to seeing all the parents bid on them as some of the art work is really exciting and I am looking forward to that,” said Principal Hedges.

“And then a lot of the things here the kids have made, so if you are a parent of a kid here, each classroom has made a gift here for the auction,” said Curran.

Principal Hedges went on to say, “it’s important that as a catholic school we come together as a community to support our kids and this is just one example of an event like that,”

Tickets are $25 at the door and starts at 6:30pm at Saint Peters Cathedral.
