Fatal Snowmoblie Accident in Houghton County
The Houghton County Sheriffs Department is investigating a fatal snowmobile accident from this afternoon.
The accident happened just after 3 pm on North Freda Trail in Adams Township. A Witness says The Victim, 65 year old Carl Dale Peterson of Canton Michigan was traveling North on his snowmobile when he left the trail, struck some bushes and then hit a tree.
Peterson was transported to Portage Health System by Mercy Ambulance. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the DNR, Adams First Responders and Stanton First Responders.
