Fatal snowmobile crash in Chippewa Co.
A downstate woman has died following a snowmobile crash in Chippewa County over the weekend. The county Sheriff’s Department says the accident happened just before noon on Saturday in Trout Lake Township.
Deputies say 48–year–old Terri Tarzwell–Klee of downstate Deckerville lost control of her snowmobile on a curve and struck a tree. Tarzwell–Klee was thrown from the sled and was unconscious when deputies arrived. She died at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie.
Deputies say that speed and alcohol were not factors in the accident. The DNR, and Trout Lake Fire and Ambulance assisted at the scene.
