F-18 in the Skies Above Marquette County
There was noise on the ground, and in the air today: including a military air show of sorts in Marquette County.
If you blinked you could have missed it, but if you were outside, it was an amazing sight and sound!
Reports came in to ABC 10 from numerous locations this afternoon about military fighters in the local airspace.
According to airport officials, an F–18 from a Texas Marine reserve facility landed at Sawyer earlier in the week.
that jet had some mechanical problems.
A second F–18 and crew flew in, did the repairs, and yesterday and today, the planes took to the sky in test flights.
All’s well that ends well, and if you were lucky enough to see and hear the fighters, you got a real treat.
