SAULT STE. MARIE — Starting next month, a trip to Canada via the International Bridge in Sault Ste. Marie may be a little more expensive for some.
The International Bridge Authority will be adjusting the passenger vehicle rate for Canadian currency from $4.40 to $4.70. Officials say this isn’t a rate increase — it’s an adjustment based on the exchange rate, which is reviewed by the Authority semiannually.
The Authority is required to keep toll equity within five cents in relation to currency exchange rates. Those who pay with U.S. money will not see any change. Click here to find out more about the International Bridge.
