Ewen-Trout Creek student given delay of sentence

A 17-year-old has been sentenced Monday in Ontonagon County District Court in connection with a Criminal Sexual Conduct case.

Cole Wascher was given a six month delay of sentence on an Assault and Battery charge.  He has to pay $835 in court fines and costs.

Ewen-Trout Creek school personnel contacted police in March about reported CSC activity on school grounds.

Wascher and another student, Travis Bonin, were charged with two separate CSC incidents involving a younger student.

Bonin was also given a six month delay in sentence back in May.
