The Wizard of Oz written By L. Frank Baum is a family favorite with music by Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg. This show will bring you from Kansas into the Wonderful Land of Oz where Dorothy Gale played by Hanna Numinen and her little dog Toto will find what lies over the rainbow. This fun family musical introduces us to some quirky characters who help Dorothy along her path such as the Tin Man (Ricky Vermeulen), the Scarecrow (Kees Gray), and the Cowardly Lion (Patrick McCommons). The five travelers must face their fears with help of Glinda the Good Witch (Mallory Grugin) and follow the yellow brick road to help Dorothy find her way home. Along the way they meet The Wicked Witch of the West (Kayla Grugin), The Wizard of Oz (Benny Veres), and many interesting characters such as the dancing Poppies, Crows, Munchkins, Ozians, Trees, and even Flying Monkeys! This show will feature over 100 youth performers in amazing dance numbers choreographed by Jill Grundstrom and Jacob DeLong, vocal direction by Jeff Bruning as well as a full pit orchestra conducted by Betsy Grugin playing your favorites such as Over the Rainbow, Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead, and The Merry Old Land of Oz!
