NEW THIS YEAR! The Bigfoot Chase
This event will be added on to the Bigfoot Snowshoe Event, which is in its 19th year. In the past it has been an opportunity for community members to get out in the snow on rental snowshoes for a few hours. There has been a demand in the past for a snowshoe race, and we feel that it is a good time, following last year’s nearly 300 participants, to introduce a snowshoe race; “The Bigfoot Chase”.
Bigfoot Chase Information:
Route Makeup: Race on 20% groomed ski trails, 80% single track
Awards: Local Thimbleberry jam to the top 3 in each division

Snow Conditions: Situated in the snowiest city in the Midwest on a Nationally ranked trail system, host of the 2016 US National Cross Country Ski Championships.
Benefits: Michigan Tech Outdoor Council to provide Outdoor Education Scholarships for students.
