Vertigo Theatre Company and Peter White Public Library present, “That’s What She Said” a showcase of short plays by female writers at the Peter White Public Library on May 26-28 in the library’s community room. Tickets are now available for purchase at the Peter White Public Library’s circulation desk.
Some of the area’s finest local talent will knock your socks off with side-splitting and sometimes touching performances about the twists and turns along the winding road of life … from the female point of view. Romance, career, and dysfunctional family dynamics will each take their turn in the spotlight. Forget yourself for a couple of hours and be entertained by the wit, humor, woes, dreams, fantasies and foibles of a few fabulous female playwrights … whose stories are brought to life on stage just for you.
Vertigo Theatre Company strives to produce theatre that is both thought-provoking and of the highest quality. This group of local, experienced professionals produces quality, forward-thinking theatre that challenges and enriches both artists and audiences. Previous acclaimed performances of Vertigo Theatre Company include “The Weir,“ A Christmas Carol,” “It’s A Wonderful Life,” “Rabbit Hole,” “Fat Pig” and “Last Five Years”.
Audiences ages 16 and up are invited to experience the humor and drama of “That’s What She Said” at performances on Thursday, May 26 and Friday May 27 at 7:00 pm, with a Saturday May 28 matinee at 2:00pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Community Room. This production is sponsored by Zonta Club of Marquette, Marquette Arts and Culture Center and the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library.
Tickets for admission cost $10 each and are available in advance at the library circulation desk, on the main floor, or by calling 906-228-9510 with a valid credit card. Proceeds will benefit the library. Advance purchase is advised due to space constraints. Tickets will be sold at the door, payable by cash or check, only.
