On April 18th I will be running the 2016 Boston Marathon as part of the Dana Farber Marathon Challenge. On Friday March 11th, please join me for an event that will mark the official kick off for a very special campaign I do leading up to the Marathon called “26 Days, 26 People, 26.2 Miles”.
On Marathon Monday I will be running with the initials of 26 people on my arm in honor of those who are currently fighting cancer and in memory of those who have lost their battle with cancer, these initials will serve as a reminder of the greater fight, the greater battle, and the ultimate finish line: A world without cancer.
This evening will be open for the general public but is intended as a venue to say thank you to current donors and friends and family of those that are honored through the campaign. There will be a suggested donation at the door but if you have already contibuted to the fight, please come for an evening of food and fun as we support Dana Farber’s fight to conquer cancer.
I hope that you all can make it and please feel free to spread the word. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. If you can’t make it and still would like to make a donation, please check out the link below where it’s quick and easy to donate : http://www.runDFMC.org/2016/peterl
