Our instructor, Brett Copes is an experienced Ropes Course Administrator and Theater Technician. For the past 10+ years his focus and passion has been Stunt Rigging, Acrobatic Rigging and Performer Flying. Brett has rigged for Cavalia, NAAFED, The Big Show Cirkus Smirkus, the Aerial Acrobatic Arts Festival, Gyrotronic, The Aerial Classroom, Dream World Cirque, Tall Corn Circus Festival and is the Head Rigger for the Chicago Contemporary Circus Festival. Brett has over 5 years experience as a rigger with Cirque Du Soliel shows: O and IRIS, the new CDS venue LIGHT, and The Beatles: LOVE.

Brett’s Rigging For Aerialists workshop will empower our performing arts community with critical education designed to bring our acrobatic rigging practices up to contemporary cirque standards. During his stay in Marquette Brett will be testing local rigging including our EARTH Angels studio at Adventure Mountain. This is a great opportunity for local venues or events featuring aerial arts to confirm that their rigging is adequate for aerial performance.
