The Marquette Fall Classic has occurred annually in the waters of Lake Superior surrounding the city of Marquette and is the larger of our two tournaments. We feature a live-release category for trout and salmon, unique to SSFA, and sets this event apart from other trout and salmon tournaments across the Midwest. The event is held in conjunction with Marquette Rotary West Harbor Fest at Mattson Park, giving participants a chance to take part in family fun for all ages. Boats come into the wall with their catches throughout the day giving onlookers a glimpse of the bounty the greatest of the Great Lakes has to offer. Back again this year will be our Women and Children’s fishing event on Friday for all registered tournament boaters. Registration begins at 6 pm on Friday, August 26th, followed by the Tournament Captains meeting which starts at 7pm. All other details will be disclosed at the Captains meeting. Fishing for participants registered by Friday night begins Saturday morning, with weigh in and awards beginning at 4pm. We expect to have a good showing for the event and are here at all costs to answer any questions!
