The 2016 Annual Keweenaw Brewfest will be held August 27th, 2016 from 1-5 PM. Unlike previous years, this year’s Brewfest will be held at the Kestner Waterfront Park (Chutes & Ladders) in Houghton.
Tickets are $30 if purchased before the event ($40 day of). A ticket will get the recipient a commemorative 6 oz glass and 12 drink tokens. Tickets are now available to purchase at our office (236 Quincy St., Hancock), online, or at the Keweenaw Brewing Company tap room (408 Shelden Ave, Houghton).
To purchase tickets online, visit our website: www.keweenawgives.org. In the upper right corner, click the yellow button labeled “Give Now”. It will take you to the donation page. Select which method you would like to pay (paypal or credit card) and follow the steps from there. Put “Brewfest Tickets” in the Purpose line, the amount ($30 each before the event), and then click continue and fill in the CC and Name, address, etc. If you have problems, please call the foundation at 906-482-9673.
The most up to date estimate is that there will be over 50 different breweries represented with a total of over 200 different beers, hard ciders, and hard sodas. There will be live music from Bob Hiltunen and food from vendors, including Captain Matt’s Fish & Chips, Carmelitas, The Fitz, and Vollwerth’s, available for purchase. Attendees must be 21 to enter (ID required).
All proceeds raised during the event will go towards promoting the Keweenaw Community Foundation’s mission to inspire giving that invests in our community’s quality of life. We are amazed at the level of giving that occurs in the area, and we could not function without the community’s support.
