Downtown Ishpeming Rubber Duck Hunt!

June 25, 2016 12:00 pm @ 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Downtown Ishpeming Michigan

It’s been too long since we have had a goofy fundraising event in Downtown Ishpeming, so here we go! Get our your best Duck Hunting outfit and get ready to trek through downtown trying to hunt rubber ducks. Yes. You will use a rubber dart gun to shoot rubber ducks. Whoever shoots the most, wins! We are still in the sponsorship seeking stage, so help us get your favorite bar, store, restaurant…any business who you think cares about kids and likes to have fun would be great!

As a participant, you’ll get an event T-Shirt from Yooper Shirts and a chance at some great drink specials at some bars and a chance to win a Congress Pizza every month for a year and a chance to win CASH as the most successful hunter! Oh, you’ll also get to play a silly carnival style game in a bunch of places right here in Downtown Ishpeming!

As a sponsor, you’ll get to host these fun-loving people in your business. The event runs almost all day, so they won’t be in a rush to get anywhere. You’ll get your business name or logo on the event shirt and you’ll get to help a great cause.

The Foster Closet of Michigan is very important to this area as there is a shortage of foster homes and there could always be more funding for the huge amount of resources these kids need.

Ready to have some fun and help the Foster Closet? Right now it’s time to secure venues to make the event as fun as possible. Ask your favorite bar, store, or restaurant to host the event by becoming a venue sponsor. It’s very easy to operate and they can get all the details from Matt DeWitt by sending a Facebook message or stopping by Brogie’s from 2p-7p. If you would like to sponsor but aren’t open on Saturday or are not an “open to the public” kind of business, let Matt know. All sponsorship money goes directly to the Foster Closet (like, you write the check to them – not anyone else).

Questions? Ideas? Let us know! This will be a good time if we can get a few places on board, but the more there are, the better it will be. Also, the more hunters we have, the more we can raise and the more impact we will have on the community. Let’s GO!
