Creative Community Series – “Playing With Inks” – Alcohol Ink Workshop with JoAnn Shelby

Participants will learn basic techniques of alcohol-based inks. They will receive a kit with samples of three suitable ink surfaces, information sheet, bookmark blanks and clear bookmark sleeve. All additional materials are provided.

Inks have wonderful qualities similar to watercolor but retain brilliance and luminosity of color. There is no need to have previous drawing or painting experience to enjoy creating with inks. Even experienced artist will enjoy this new medium.

The instructor for this class is JoAnn Deuel Shelby of Snow Queen Studio by JoAnn Deuel Shelby. She is a professional artist with many decades of experience. JoAnn uses alcohol ink as a fine art medium, exhibiting in regional exhibits, galleries, with awards in several international competitions.
