Juried by Michele Bosak, Curator of Exhibitions, Kendall College of Art and Design (Grand Rapids, MI)
Eligibility: Open to all residents of Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin living north of the 45th parallel. There is wiggle room for people within 1 degree of this area, but the idea is to represent artists living in the upper Midwest region. Work in all media is welcome and there are no size limitations. Work previously exhibited at the museum is not eligible.
Deadline: March 14, 2016
Submissions: All entries must be submitted by creating an account at devos.slideroom.com. There is a $20 fee to submit up to five images. Funds from the fees support cash prizes ($500 juror’s choice award and $250 audience choice award). Please note – the juror will select specific pieces for the exhibition.
About the juror:
Michele Bosak earned her MFA and Certificate in Museum Studies from Northern Illinois University, where she was the recipient of a Distinguished University Fellowship. As an experienced artist herself, Michele has great insight into the guidance and management of artists throughout the creative process. She currently manages programming for six ever-changing gallery spaces in the Fed Galleries, which invite a deeper awareness of contemporary creation by offering provocative exhibitions and collaborating with regional, national, and international entities. Michele has been curating independently and institutionally for the past ten years.

April 14: Jury decisions sent via e-mail
May 25: Accepted artwork due at the museum, by 5pm* June 3 – Aug 7: Exhibition dates
