Escanaba woman will go to jail & treatment on drug charge

An Escanaba woman will spend six months in jail after pleading guilty to a drug charge.

Crystal Therrian, 24, was sentenced this morning in Delta County Circuit Court. She was credited with 33 days served.

Therrian has also been ordered to enter substance abuse treatment as soon as a bed is available. If she completes it successfully, she won’t have to serve any further jail time. She’ll also spend 12 months on probation.

Therrian pleaded guilty in April to attempted delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance. The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested her in January. UPSET officials say Ritalin is the controlled substance they arrested her for.
