Eastwood Nursing Center celebrates 20 years
A staple of the Negaunee community celebrated 20 years of operation today.
The Eastwood Nursing Center held an anniversary party picnic where the public could come and enjoy live music, a BBQ lunch, and games for residents’ families. After 20 years of service the nursing center prides itself on the care it provides its residents.
“Eastwood is a very homelike environment; we make sure that our residents enjoy living here,” assistant director of nursing Gwinevere Kulie said. “Our activities department does a great job of having many activities like this throughout the year so that our residents feel busy, and happy, and fulfilled.”
The center’s residents offered high praise for the care they receive.
“The next best thing to home, I will say that. They take good care of you,” Milton Pascoe, a resident just shy of a year, said.
As they prepare for another 20 years, the staff at Eastwood Nursing Center hope to deliver the same level of care to the U.P.’s elderly population.
