Drunk Driving: A Bad Idea, Part 4

One thing all law enforcement agencies try to do is keep people aware of drunk driving.

The police say there is no spike in drunk driving during any particular time of the year, but they do keep extra patrols on the road during holidays.  They alert the public when there will be more patrols on the road, as a way to encourage people to find a safe way to get home.

Officers also talk to high school students about the dangers of drinking and driving.  They talk to new drivers about the consequences of drunk driving, apply for grants and do everything they can to prevent drunk driving.
