MARQUETTE — A Milwaukee woman who admitted to delivery of a schedule three narcotic is getting out of jail.

Twenty–five–year old Jennifer Savanguongsavanh was sentenced to three months incarceration in Marquette County Circuit Court Friday morning. Given credit for time she has already served, the sentence provides for her immediate release from jail. She pleaded guilty to delivery of a schedule three narcotic last month.

Savanguongsavanh was arrested in mid–September in Ishpeming by UPSET along with 33–year old Maurice Gray of South Bend, Indiana.

“It’s not that we’re sitting here with an innocent person,” said Defense Attorney Timothy Quinnell, “but the reality of the situation is somebody else dragged her into a situation that was much more severe than she ever imagined in her whole life.”

Grey will be sentenced next week.
