Drug Sentences for Hancock Couple

A Hancock couple is sentenced to jail and probation on charges from a drug bust back in May.

21-year-old Eric Weijola will spend 90 days in jail for attempted delivery of marijuana.

After 60 days, he’ll have the option of being released to attend in-patient treatment.

His girlfriend, 21-year-old Tia Baccus, got 60 days for assisting the delivery and manufacture of a controlled substance.

They’re both getting credit for the time they’ve already served.

Once they’re released, they’ll also spend 2 years on delay-of-sentence probation under the state’s Holmes Youthful Trainee Act.

If they finish the probation without further incident, their respective felonies from this case will be removed from both their records.

They were both arrested in Stanton Township on May 26th.
