Drug Charges from Car Theft & Accident
An Escanaba man is in jail tonight on a series of charges after allegedly stealing a car and then wrecking it.
The Delta County Prosecutor’s office says he’s 53–year–old Michael Racicot.
State Police from the Gladstone Post were called out to an accident in Rapid River shortly after 1 yesterday afternoon.
They were told that the vehicle involved in the hit–and–run crash had been reported stolen.
Troopers found the vehicle southbound on US–2 near Gladstone, and they say Racicot was the driver.
The charges against him include delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance, analogue possession, marijuana possession and driving without a license.
He’s in the Delta County Jail on $10,000 bond.
