Drug charges brought against Escanaba woman

ESCANABA — An Escanaba woman is waiting for her next court date on drug charges in what was originally a retail fraud case at a grocery store.

Ashlee Page, 19, is accused of possession of controlled substance analogues and attempted possession of a controlled substance.  She has a Circuit Court plea hearing scheduled for October 7.

Page is in the Delta County Jail on $250 bond.

Escanaba Public Safety arrested her September 17.  Officers were originally looking for her in connection with a retail fraud complaint from Jim’s South Side Grocery in late August.  Detectives released still images from a surveillance camera video on the department’s Facebook page, and residents helped police identify her from the photos.
