Downtown Marquette Trick-or-Treating

If you’re driving down Washington Street in Marquette tomorrow afternoon, you might be surprised to find the side walks packed with young witches, pirates and superheroes…maybe even a ghost or two.

The Marquette Downtown Development Authority and downtown businesses will be providing kids from the community with a pre–Halloween trick-or-treating event.

Mona Lang of the DDA says many businesses will be putting out treats for the young ones that will be walking around.

Ruby Wattson of Wattson and Wattson Jewelers says while it might be a thrill for the kids to get some candy and dress up in a costume, local businesses enjoy the event just as much.

Drivers are asked to use extra caution while driving downtown on Saturday due to the increased foot traffic and younger children in the area.

The fun kicks off at 2 pm.
