Dog Missing in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park

An Illinois family needs your help tonight, to find their family pet.

“Diesel” is a one-year-old, 55-pound “blue-brindle” pit-bull… who

disappeared early Thursday morning while camping with his family at

“Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park.”

The dog’s owners, park rangers and local volunteers have been scouring the 87 miles of trails there… and some say they’ve spotted Diesel, but just before he ran into the woods.

Now local vets and PAWS are lending a hand and an inn is taking tips from travelers.

Diesel is grey-blue in color with red-colored stripes. He has white feet and is wearing a neon green collar with silver name tags.

If you have any information, or would like to help, please call the AmericInn hotel in Silver City at 906-885-5313.
