DNR ask for the public’s help in tracking moose population

ISHPEMING — Seen any moose lately? The DNR wants to know!

If you live in the U.P. or even if you’re just visiting, the Department of Natural Resources is asking that you share any moose sightings though their Moose Observation Report, which is available online. The DNR has been observing Michigan’s moose population by conducting aerial surveys in the western U.P. Coupling Moose Observation Reports with the aerial surveys helps identify where the moose are living.

You can report your sightings online by following this link.
