U.P. woman accused of operating meth lab

ESCANABA — An Escanaba woman accused of operating and maintaining a meth lab entered a guilty plea in court this morning.

Twenty–two year old Destiny Aker pleaded guilty to one count of purchasing pseudophedrine to make meth. As part of her plea agreement, other charges of maintaining a meth lab and being a habitual defender were dismissed.

Aker was one of several people arrested in late April by police on meth charges. She will be sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court on August 23rd.
