Delta County Natural Resource Day
Delta County 5th-graders get to spend the day away from the classroom and outside with outdoor professionals.
The Michigan State University Extension Youth Program shows students demonstrations of jobs in the natural resource, agriculture and environmental fields.
Students spend the day touring 4 of the 12 different sites set up, including sport fishing.
Some other stops include wildlife management, a landfill and a beef farm.
The program has been going on in Delta County for more than 20 years.
