DDA helps the Janzen House through mini golf

As the weather warms up the Marquette Downtown Development Authority has prepared something fun for people looking to get out and about.

The Downtown Spring Open Twisted Tee Off is a mini golf tournament consisting of 12 holes at various Marquette restaurants, pubs and breweries. Teams of four will move from hole to hole competing for prizes.

Samantha Collins, the DDA’s Promotions and Events Coordinator, said, “We’re all really excited and it’s going to be just a fun, new way to get people out walking around and enjoying a fun event and hopefully kicking away those winter blues considering golfing isn’t going to be happening anytime soon.”

To register, it’s $25 per person; $100 for a team of four. The event is Thursday and all proceeds from the event will go to the Janzen House.

People can register on the DDA’s website, www.downtownmarquette.org.
