Crazy finish to basketball game
In case you missed it Tuesday night, the Westwood versus Gwinn girls basketball game had a finish for the ages.
With the Patriots trailing 30-29 with 1.5 seconds left in the game, Westwood’s Katie Rankinen threw the ball from one end of the court to the other, where Elizabeth Dauphinais-VanBuren caught the ball and made the game winning shot as time expired.
For the second year in a row, Westwood won at Gwinn thanks to a buzzer beater. Both game winning shots were made by Dauphinais-VanBuren.
