Cody Howorth faced eight charges at his pretrial conference, but nearly half were dismissed in a plea agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office.

In exchange, the 17-year-old from Norway pleaded guilty to breaking and entering a vehicle with damage, entering a building with intent, larceny of a motor vehicle and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Howorth will be sentenced on all four counts on November 5th at 9 a.m.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Jacelin Sims of Iron Mountain pleaded not guilty to all three charges brought against him during Monday’s arraignment.

Sims will discuss his armed robbery, breaking and entering and marijuana possession charges with Judge Chris Ninomiya at his pretrial hearing on October 14th in judge’s chambers.

The Iron Mountain Police Department says the unrelated incident in question happened at a residence on the 200 block of West Brown Street.

The man living in the house told police three subjects dressed completely in black broke into his home and robbed him at knifepoint, stealing cash and the man’s medical marijuana.
