Volunteers are ready to get their relay on!
It’s the Copper Country Relay for Life being held today in Houghton.
30 teams have come together to do their part to make more birthdays possible for cancer fighters.
The goal is to bring in at least $100,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Before this weekend, they had raised more than $70,000 already.
Everyone has their own reasons for taking part in the relay, but the goal is the same — raising money for cancer research.
Still to come today is the Survivor’s Lap, the Luminaria Ceremony, and the Fight Back Ceremony.
Tomorrow is expected to be another big day as families gather for the Ready…Set…Relay Games, which include activities for kids of all ages.
There’s still plenty of time to come out and enjoy the fun.
The relay will go on until 1 Saturday afternoon.
So does Delta County’s Relay for life, which is taking place right now in Gladstone.
