2 inmates at the Ojibway Correctional Facility have been convicted of willfully assisting a 2006 riot.
The jury needed about 8 hours’ deliberation before finding 38-year-old Jesse Walton and 27-year-old Willie Webb guilty.
The riot at the prison in Marenisco happened in April 2006.
Corrections officer Lieutenant Albert Basso, who has since retired, was stabbed in the melee.
Webb was also found guilty of 2 counts of assaulting prison employees.
Walton was convicted of attacking 1 C.O., but he was acquitted of another count.
They each face up to 10 more years in prison on the riot charge.
Walton was tried once before, but he had a mistrial declared when his defense attorney withdrew from the case for health reasons.
Walton had a new lawyer for his re-trial.
