Committee to Look at New Dog Ordinance

Following multiple complaints and two tragic endings, the city of Ishpeming has set up a committee to look into how to better handle dangerous dogs in the city.

After hearing two separate cases in which a pit bull caused injury and death to fellow pets, the Ishpeming City Council will now count on the new committee to look into better ways of handle dangerous pets in the city.

Officials are hoping that even in the short amount of time granted to the committee that it would be able to bring a potential resolution before the city council.

And the city is looking for that recommendation by october.
